Our favorite seats at Michael’s are on the deck overlooking tree-lined Soquel Creek. Whether warmed by the midday sun or patio heaters at dinner we find romance under the living canopy. Others prefer the glowing fireplace. Either way, the wide range of food from brick oven pizza or pot roast tacos, to Towering Pork Ossobucco with grilled Caesar salad is delightful. Wednesdays are karaoke nights, and live music can be heard Thursday through Saturday. BRAIN CANDY: On Tuesdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., a marvelous buffet dinner is created to pair with wines of a local vintner. | KP
